With a title inspired by a poem by Bukovski, Culicchia has penned a guide for those who do not know what to expect AFTER publication…
With great honesty, as much irony, and no hypocrisy, this book charts the journey and all the steps marking the birth and making of a writer: from the correction of the galley proofs to dealings with the press office, from the design of the dust jacket to the construction of the literary cause célèbre, from the first public presentation to the TV-studio induction. Giuseppe Culicchia describes the gilded world of Letters to great comical effect (while always prodding us to reflect on the role of writers today), and provides plenty of practical advice and tips along the way.
